PASTORAL CARE
Pastoral Care visiting is not a social call. It is acknowledging the person in totality. Their body, soul and spirit and being a presence where they are free to share whatever is on their heart. This could be a crisis, health concern, family concern or being one of our folks who are no longer able to join the fellowship of Chapel. There are many needs in our Resort and being equipt to walk with people is our strength. I offer Pastoral Care Training for those who feel they are called to this ministry.

What is Pastoral Care?
• Pastoral Care is....
• Connecting a person to their Faith
• Connecting a person with their beliefs and values
• Supporting them in their beliefs as they make sense out of their crisis
• Listening deeply as they share their struggles and not giving advice
• Helping them explore the question "Where is God in all of this for you?"
• Allowing them to question "Why me?" No judging
• Showing compassion as they talk and pausing for tears and anger
